Technical Support Engineer

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma is required
  • College Degree or some college preferred, but not required
  • Must have at least 3 to 5 years experience in the A/V industry
  • Individual must possess the following skills:
    In-depth knowledge of installation, operation, scheduling and support of desktop and conference room VTC systems in a secure government or military environment.  Configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of AMX, ClearOne, Extron and Tandberg hardware components.
  • Working knowledge of A/V concepts such as acoustics, lighting, aspect ratios, font size versus distance, scan rates, video standards and transmission systems.
  • Must possess an extremely meticulous and organized working style and have an ability to work as part of a team
  • Be a team leader and possess excellent leadership qualities and should be able to lead a field team to a job completion
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills experience is important, responsibilities will include extensive team and client contact
  • Tandberg Certified Technical Associate (a plus)
  • AMX system installation (programming a plus)
  • ClearOne Certified Product Specialist (a plus)
  • Extron A/V Associate (a plus)
  • Knowledge of computer network configuration (a plus)
  • CEDIA Certification (a plus)
  • CTS Certification (a plus)
  • CTS-D Certification (a plus)
  • CTS-I Certification (a plus)
PRIORITIES

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • 35 VTC Rooms, Cable Distribution System with 117 LCD Displays
  • Support Hours of 6am to 6pm, 2 Personnel with Overlapping Shifts
  • Tier 1 & 2 Onsite Support, Tier 3 & 4 Provided Remotely or Dispatched Onsite
  • 2 Hour Response Time for Unscheduled Critical Maintenance Outside of 6am – 6pm
  • Responsible for System Maintenance, Repair, & Troubleshooting
  • Facilitate Room Setup for Meetings, Local Presentations, and Video Calls
  • Facilitate Test Video Calls with JWICS
  • Obtain daily list of VTCs from JWICS scheduler
  • Provide Technical Support During Video Calls
  • Maintain Quality and Performance of AV Systems
  • Assist with User Refresher Training & Preventative Maintenance
  • Execute and update any trouble-ticketing issues that are assigned via SRS REMEDY database or Lotus Notes.
  • Report or Log Daily Service Tickets
  • Deliver Monthly Project Summary Reports (Details of Service Calls, Open Issues, etc)
