Federal Government Sales

Freeport Technologies has built turn-key AV rooms for a number of Federal Government agencies and continues to grow its Federal business. Customers have learned that our “Room-Centric” approach makes sense and our Design/Build model is preferred, given the complexity of today’s AV technology. Freeport’s innovative software products give users the control, manageability, scalability, and maintainability that cannot be found in other AV room systems.

Freeport Technologies Inc. meets the requirements set forth in FAR 2.101, which defines a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) as:
  1. A small business concern not less than 51 percent of which is owned by one or more service disabled veterans or, in the case of any publicly owned business, not less than 51 percent of the stock of which is owned by one or more service disabled veterans.
  2. The management and daily business operations of which are controlled by one or more service disabled veterans or, in the case of a veteran with permanent and severe disability, the spouse or permanent caregiver of such veteran.
The Small Business Administration (SBA) does not require a formal certification process for SDVOSBs. Instead, they allow self-certification if the veteran meets the eligibility requirements. As an SDVOSB, Freeport Technologies is eligible to participate in the recently implemented procurement program established by Small Business Administration (SBA). The SBA is authorized to administer the SDVOSB Program established pursuant to Public Law 108-183, the Veterans Benefits Act of 2003. Section 308 of that law amended the Small Business Act to establish a procurement program for Small Business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans. This procurement program provides that contracting officers may award a sole source or set-aside contract to SDVOSBs, if certain conditions are met. For more information, please refer to the SBA 13 CFR, Parts 121, 125, and 134, RIN 3245-AF16, which addresses procurement programs for small business concerns owned and controlled by service-disabled veterans.
