Company History

Freeport Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Virginia in May 1995. Freeport was founded with the vision of developing and exploiting new technologies for the coming convergence of voice, data, and video in the enterprise.

Freeport’s foundation was based upon the development of a system design that included a standard set of hardware, software, and user interface that was capable of meeting all of their customer’s requirements. This standardized approach allowed for the operation of all systems throughout an enterprise, regardless of room configuration, and that was independent of particular brands or models of system components. This “Room-Centric”approach provided a reproducible template upon which all AV systems, no matter the size or complexity, were based upon.

In 2004, Freeport became certified as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business (SDVOSB) and moved its facilities to Herndon, VA. The facility has several working demonstration rooms that incorporate all of the technologies that we have integrated into our customer’s systems. We believe in using and fully understanding all of the technology we sell. Freeport has a significant investment in our in-house systems and in the development of our unique software and hardware products.

For the past two decades Freeport has implemented numerous videoconferencing, telecom, and data networks and has built high-end boardrooms, training rooms, multipurpose rooms, mock courtrooms, conference centers, and operation centers for its clients throughout the United States.
