The Freeport Technologies multi-domain VTC system featuring Cisco control is a turnkey solution which features a seamless integration of a Cisco collaboration room endpoint with Freeport’s multi-domain switching system. Integrating the control of the MDVNS into the Cisco hardware platform eliminates third party AV components and control systems, thereby providing a proven, field-tested solution. The system can be deployed into new and existing environments and certified for use in less than a day.
The MDVNS has been approved by the Defense Intelligence Agency for use on the JWICS Top Secret network. It has also been approved for operation by DISA on NIPR, SIPR, NRO, NGA, Coalition Forces, GoldNet and many other classified networks.
The integration of Cisco control with the MDVNS leverages the inherit capabilities of the Cisco collaboration room endpoints (audio, video, and control), providing familiarity for the end user. The Cisco Touch 10 touch panel will not only control all briefing and VTC functionality but also natively support control of the Freeport MDVNS (VTC network switching & system shutdown). In addition, any reconfiguration of the MDVNS system including the addition of VTC networks, will automatically be synced with the Cisco control system.
Product Information
Multi-Domain Video Network Switch (MDVNS)

Security Compliance
- Meets current DISA requirements & future requests as detailed in the latest Video Tele-Conference STIG
- Approved by the Defense Intelligence Agency when using a single video CODEC for multiple domains (including JWICS)
- Utilizes a DISA approved (CCEVS certified, previously NIAP validated) fiber based secure switching unit for video network management
MDVNS Approvals
- Defense Intelligence Agency – The DIA approval of the MDVNS can be found on the high side of DIA’s home page under “VTC” approvals
- DISA – The MDVNS is listed on DISA’s approved Red/Black Peripheral products
- Air Force Space Command – Internal documented evaluation lists the MDVNS as the preferred secure switching and periods processing solution when using a single video CODEC for multiple networks
Design Approach
- True red/black air gap separation and isolation grounds between all MDVNS system components and VTC networks
- Video CODEC configuration settings, passwords, users, certificates, and directories do NOT coexist with those of another VTC network
- Eliminates residual settings and data from being accessed or transferred from one VTC network to another
- Mitigates shared resource risks which are inherit when using multiple video CODECs for in a single system design
Environmental
- RoHS & TAA Compliant
- Made in the U.S.A
